Crescent City Sports to live stream Rummel-Brother Martin baseball Tuesday

NEW ORLEANS – The District 9-5A baseball matchup between Archbishop Rummel and Brother Martin Tuesday night from historic “Rags” Scheuermann Field at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium will be streamed live by Crescent City Sports.

Coverage on CrescentCitySports.com of the finale of the two-game district series between the Raiders and Crusaders will begin just prior to the 6:30 p.m. scheduled first pitch. CCS’ Ken Trahan and Kenny Francingues will describe the action.

The Crusaders (20-4, 7-0) have a two-game lead in the loss column in the Catholic League on second-place John Curtis Christian, with the Raiders (14-13-1, 4-3) in third place. Additionally, Brother Martin is No. 1 in the latest unofficial LHSAA power ratings for Division I, with Rummel ranked eighth. The top four teams receive byes into the quarterfinals, while seeds 5-8 will host opening-round series.

Brother Martin won the series opener over Rummel 6-4 Friday night at Mike Miley Stadium to extend its winning streak to 12 games. A year ago, Rummel swept the two-game series by scores of 7-6 and 7-1.
