Jesuit at Rummel Wrestling

NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Sports’ live streaming coverage of high school sports continues Saturday with coverage of the inaugural Louisiana-Mississippi all-star wrestling dual.

Live coverage from Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie begins just prior to the 2 p.m. start.

The event also marks the debut of CCS’ soon-to-be-launched vertical, Crescent City Wrestling, which is the presenter of Saturday’s all-star dual.

“It has been a distinct pleasure to watch, support and cover wrestling since the late 1960’s,” said Crescent City Sports CEO Ken Trahan. “Covering the LHSAA state championships and doing public address announcing for those events since 1995 has been an honor. Having a chance to broadcast many dual meets and events was the next step, and now we are taking the biggest step in promoting a tremendous sport in our state. Partnering Crescent City Sports with the first family of wrestling in Louisiana with Jim Ravannack and Chad Ravannack is a true blessing.”

Saturday’s event will feature boys and girls all-star teams from Louisiana and Mississippi competing in a dual-meet format. Girls wrestling was approved as the newest sanctioned LHSAA championship sport in January.

New Orleans-area competitors scheduled to compete Saturday include Landon Monica of Archbishop Rummel, Jayden Jamison of Archbishop Shaw, Dylan Duvernay of De La Salle, Sam Favaza of Fontainebleau, JP Webre of Jesuit, Leland Webb of Chalmette and Taylor Mahoney of Riverdale.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 13th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced nearly 500 live streams since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2023-24. All written and video content on CCS is always free and does not require a subscription.
