Crescent City Sports expresses sorrow, prayers for Hidalgo family
Some things are just hard to comprehend.
Crescent City Sports expresses its heartfelt sorrow for the Hidalgo family and the Denham Springs family for the loss of Remy Hidalgo, who passed away in New Orleans early this morning at Children’s Hospital.
Hidalgo had collapsed near the end of the Yellow Jackets practice on Tuesday from what was said to be a heat stroke.
His mother, Ashley Robertson, confirmed her son’s passing via a Facebook post this morning.
“Today officially marks the most impossible day in my life. How will I get through life without you? The love of my life. My baby boy! You were loved more than you ever know. You were the best son, brother, grandson and friend. I wish I could take your place. I don’t want to hear that you are in a better place!! You are supposed to be with me. You still had too many things to finish and accomplish. I am mad right now!! Very mad!! This is not fair I just want you back. I love you more than a human could ever love another human. I love you to Heaven and back my sweet angel.”
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Hidalgo was entering his junior season.
