CCS Prep Summer League

The Crescent City Sports Summer Prep League live streaming schedule resumes Monday and Tuesday, featuring four excellent programs.

First comes the CCSL contest between John Curtis Christian-based the River Ridge Patriots and St. Charles Catholic-based Cretin Townsend Homes at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Mike Miley Stadium.

River Ridge (7-2) is currently a very close third in league play and has the lone victory over first place Retif Oil. John Curtis won Division I state championships in 2017 and 2018 and played in the Division I state title game this past season.

Cretin Townsend Homes (6-3) is tied for the fourth and final playoff spot in league play. St. Charles Catholic captured the Division III state championship this past season and won the Division II state title in 2019.

On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in another CCSL clash, Archbishop Shaw-based Refuel will entertain Brother Martin-based K’s for Kids at Winterscheidt Field.

Refuel (3-5) has won its last three games while K’s for Kids (1-1-1) is playing a limited schedule. Brother Martin reached the Division I state semifinals this past season.

Ken Trahan of CCS will describe the action with former Tulane star and long-time coach Kenny Francingues providing color analysis.

The Crescent City Sports Summer Prep League regular season schedule features games Monday through Thursday and runs through the end of June. The top four teams in the league standings will meet in a single-elimination playoff July 6-7, also at Lutcher. Future broadcasts will be announced as the season progresses.

Crescent City Sports is a Kenner-based media company featuring a sports website and video production facilities. The CCS team is in its 11th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced more than 400 live streams since 2012.
