Catholic, St. Joseph top Louisiana high school cross country polls

Catholic of Baton Rouge and St. Joseph Academy remain the top-ranked teams in the latest Cross Country Coaches poll released Monday.

The Bears received nine of ten first place votes to easily top the boys poll with St. Paul’s second. Ruston is third and the Bearcats received the third vote in the poll. Brother Martin is fourth with Episcopal fifth. Jesuit is sixth while Mandeville is ninth.

St. Joseph Academy is the unanimous top choice on the girls side with Vandebilt Catholic second. St. Michael is third with Mount Carmel Academy fourth and Mandeville fifth. St. Scholastica is sixth while Newman is seventh. Lusher Charter is ninth.
