Brother Martin senior bowling standout Cody Schaffer capped off a terrific year on the lanes Saturday morning with a pair of 300 games and his first career 800 series in the junior/senior league at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner.

Schaffer started and ended his three-game series with perfect games, with a 203 second game in between, for an 803 series.

Schaffer has had four perfect games since September and averaged 227 in the prep club league this fall, a state record in high school competition. That came after a pair of tournament titles in the summer and a state championship with the Crusaders in April.

Brother Martin begins defense of its state title next month.
