It will be an all New Orleans final Saturday at noon in Lake Charles in the Class 4A state championship game.

Top seed Carver dismantled No. 4 Neville 76-50 while No. 2 McMain won a 50-48 thriller over No. 3 Woodlawn of Shreveport.

Both teams came out of the gate slowly and the Rams held a 9-8 lead over Woodlawn after one quarter.

Carver awakened to take a 28-18 halftime lead.

The Rams blew it open to lead 51-27 going to the final quarter.

Carver was red hot, connecting on 27-of-43 field goal attempts (63%), giving the Tigers no chance.

Willie Anderson led a balanced Carver attack with 21 points, going 9-of-12 from the field and added four rebounds. Frederick Price scored 18 points, going 7-of-8 from the field and both were outstanding.

The biggest force was the biggest player for Carver as center Solomon scored 13 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, dished out eight assists, came up with five steals and had three blocks. Laurence Nathan had nine points, including 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Dorian Finisher had eight points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
