Basketball: Brother Martin remains unbeaten in Catholic League with win over Rummel

Area Prep Basketball Report for Wednesday, Feb. 17

Brother Martin remained unbeaten in Catholic League play with a 53-40 road win Tuesday over Archbishop Rummel to complete a district sweep of the Raiders. Brother Martin downed Rummel 57-38 on Feb. 11 at home.

Brother Martin led 13-6 after one quarter and 25-19 at halftime. It was 38-28 going to the final quarter.

Grant DeLord led the Crusaders, recording a double-double with 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field with 10 rebounds. Brock Ranlett finished with 11 points and four rebounds.

Bradley Smith topped Rummel with 14 points while Rohan Johnson had nine points for the Raiders.

Brother Martin (20-6, 8-0) has won six straight games. The Crusaders host St. Augustine Wednesday at 7 p.m. in another District 9-5A matchup while the Raiders (1-21, 1-11) are finished with their regular season.
