West Jefferson High School and the JM Sports Network jointly announce that all Buccaneers football games will be broadcast live via audio this season.

“I am here at West Jefferson to re-establish stability, and anything that helps restore the history of this school is a plus,” said West Jefferson Head Football Coach Willie Brooks.

Brooks has opened the doors to all former Buccaneers players to come to the practices and games as a reminder of the school’s great football history.

Johnny Marchese, a 12-year veteran of Louisiana high school play-by-play announcing and a 1981 graduate of West Jefferson, will be bringing his craft to his alma mater. He will be joined by Simmie Carter, a 1986 West Jefferson graduate and former Buccaneers and Southern Mississippi quarterback, as color analyst of the webcasts.

The season of football webcasts begins this Saturday afternoon as the Buccaneers visit Archbishop Shaw for a 2 p.m. kickoff. The pregame shows throughout the season will begin 20 minutes before kickoff. Visit the West Jefferson Football Page on the JM Sports Network website for live streams.
