UNO’s Johnson takes home Southland Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

FRISCO, Texas – New Orleans guard Jordan Johnson has been named the Southland Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third week of the regular season, as announced Monday by the conference office.

Men’s Player of the Week: Jordan Johnson, New Orleans – G – Sr. – Memphis, Tenn. (Hamilton)
Throughout the week, guard Jordan Johnson averaged 23.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists to lead the Privateers. After scoring 23 points at Oklahoma State and 18 points against North Dakota, Johnson exploded for 29 points, including six 3-pointers, to go with four assists and three steals to give the Privateers their first non-conference true road win since 2016 against Central Arkansas.
