ULM releases complete 2024 football schedule

MONROE, La. — The Sun Belt Conference announced its 2024 football schedule on Friday, completing ULM’s 2024 schedule, which features six home games at Malone Stadium.

ULM opens the season at home under first-year head coach Bryant Vincent on August 31 versus Jackson State. The Warhawks host UAB in week two on September 7 in Monroe.

Following a bye week, the Warhawks make their first road trip of the season on September 21, when they travel to Austin, Texas, to face College Football Playoff semifinalists Texas at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

The Warhawks begin SBC play on the road and will battle the defending SBC Champion Troy Trojans on Saturday, September 28.

ULM gets its first matchup between James Madison on October 5, when the Warhawks host the Dukes at Malone Stadium followed by another conference home game versus Southern Miss on October 12. The Warhawks finish October on the road in Mobile, Alabama, to take on South Alabama on October 26.

ULM will make its first-ever trip to Marshall on November 2, and it will mark the first time the Warhawks and Thundering Herd have squared off on the gridiron since the 1987 NCAA Division I-AA National Championship Game, won by then-Northeast Louisiana, 43-42. ULM will return to Monroe to host Texas State on November 9.

The Warhawks will play their final non-conference game of the season on November 16 on the road at Auburn. ULM’s final regular season road game is slated for November 23 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at Arkansas State.

ULM will welcome the Ragin’ Cajuns to Malone Stadium for the regular-season finale on Saturday, November 30. Five of the last seven matchups between the two schools have been decided by seven points or less.

The 2024 Sun Belt Football Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, December 7.
