It may have slipped under the radar in the offseason but perhaps the best dual-sport athlete on the north shore has changed schools.

Kohen Rowbatham is now enrolled at St. Thomas Aquinas in Hammond after starring in football and basketball at Northshore High School.

The decision for the school change happened over the summer.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Rowbatham is a standout running back and safety in football who has FCS offers with FBS interest from Tulane and UL Lafayette.

In basketball, he was last year’s District 6-5A MVP scoring 22 points per game with college offers from Division I programs including Southern Miss, Southeastern Louisiana and Southern. Rowbatham helped the Panthers reach the LHSAA Class 5A championship game where they fell to Zachary.
