Lance Robinson

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University football team announced today the addition of former Kansas State defensive back Lance Robinson Jr.

A native of New Orleans, Robinson spent three years with the Wildcats where he appeared in 19 career games.

Robinson saw action in two games this past season at Kansas State. In his first appearance of the season versus Arkansas State on Sept. 12, he started at cornerback and posted four tackles and a pass breakup.

In 2019, he participated in all 13 games and started the final three games against Texas Tech, Iowa State and in the Liberty Bowl versus Navy at cornerback. During the year, he recorded 13 tackles (one for loss) and a pass breakup. Robinson also totaled four special teams tackles, all on kickoff coverage which ranked fourth on the team in that category. Following the year, he earned All-Big 12 Academic honors.

As a freshman in 2018, he started back-to-back games against Kansas and Texas Tech, respectively. He collected nine tackles in four games.

Both Rivals and 247Sports tabbed Robinson as a three-star prospect. Rivals ranked him as the No. 41 player in Louisiana in the 2018 cycle. The Louisiana Sports Writers Associated named Robinson a first-team all-state performer during his senior season, when he notched 61 tackles (17 for loss), two interceptions and two forced fumbles.
