Taylor Young earns C-USA Hitter of the Week Honors

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech shortstop, Taylor Young, earns Conference USA hitter of the week honors after a dominant four games at the plate.

Young finished off the week with a .647 batting average, three doubles, a triple, a home run, eight RBI, 10 runs scored, four walks and 4 stolen bases.

Young recorded four hits against Southeastern, three in game one versus Houston Baptist, three in game two and one more on Sunday in game three. He blasted a three-run homer in Friday’s win and on Saturday he accounted for three doubles.

The leadoff man tallied an incredible .682 on-base percentage and a 1.118 slugging percentage.
