Southern parts ways with head football coach Eric Dooley

Southern University has officially parted ways with football head coach Eric Dooley, the school announced Tuesday in an official release.

A press conference is scheduled for Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the A.W. Mumford Field House.

Dooley had a 12-10 overall record including 9-6 in SWAC play in two years with the Jaguars, who he led to the SWAC Championship game last season.

Southern (5-5, 4-3 SWAC) has named assistant head coach Terrence Graves as interim head coach for the Bayou Classic on Nov. 25 against Grambling State.
