NEW ORLEANS — ULM will open its 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2, when it hosts Army at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on NFL Network.

The matchup will be the third meeting between the two programs over the past four seasons, with Army having won the prior two 48-24 in 2022 and 37-7 in 2020.

ULM’s non-conference slate also features a home game against Lamar (Sept. 9) and road trips to SEC foes Texas A&M (Sept. 16) and Ole Miss (Nov. 18). Alongside annual dates with its West Division counterparts, the Warhawks’ conference schedule includes a visit from App State (Sept. 30) and a trip to Georgia Southern (Oct. 21) from the East Division.

ULM was picked to finish seventh in the West Division in last month’s 2023 Sun Belt Conference Football Preseason Coaches Poll.

Head coach Terry Bowden will guide a roster that returns an All-Sun Belt pick from 2022 and had one student-athlete listed on the 2023 Preseason All-Sun Belt teams.

The Warhawks were 4-8 in 2022 and 3-5 in Sun Belt Conference play—their best conference win total since 2019. The victories included ULM’s first over in-state foe Louisiana since 2017—21-17 on Sept. 23—and the Warhawks’ first road win since 2019—31-28 over Georgia State on Nov. 12.
