The Saints continue to bolster their defense tackle position ahead of the season opener.

Free agent defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson is expected to sign with New Orleans, reports Houston Texans beat reporter Aaron Wilson.

A Vikings fourth round draft choice out of Iowa in 2017, Johnson spent four seasons with Minnesota before signing with the Texans this past offseason. Houston cut the 27-year old when their set their initial 53-man roster this week.

The 6-foot-3, 316-pound Johnson will add veteran depth at defensive tackle along with former Patriots and Packers defensive tackle Montravius Adams, another reported signing by the Saints.
