Saints to sign former Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay
The New Orleans Saints and former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay have agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $5 million, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.
Gay will reportedly receive a guaranteed salary of $3 million.

The former Chiefs second round out of Mississippi State in 2020 has played four seasons in Kansas City. A member of the last two Super Bowl championship teams, Gay has 233 tackles and five sacks to go with four fumble recoveries, four interceptions and two forced fumbles in 57 career games including 47 starts.
The Saints have added Chiefs free agents in each of the last three offseasons, signing safety Tyrann Mathieu in 2022, defesnive tackle Khalen Saunders in 2023 and now the 6-foot-1, 243-pound Gay.
