The Saints have re-signed fullback Zach Line and linebacker Michael Mauti.

Line emerged as a starter when he joined the roster during the 2017 regular season.

His agent Mike McCartney announced the deal is for two years.

Line, who was added to the roster during last season after starter John Kuhn was placed on injured reserve, had seven carries for 28 yards and two catches for eight yards and a touchdown in 12 games during the regular season. Line also scored a touchdown in the New Orleans playoff win over the Carolina Panthers.

Line had spent the previous four season with the Minnesota Vikings.

MCartney also confirmed Mauti’s new deal with the Black & Gold:

The Saints brought Mauti back after losing linebacker and special teams ace Nathan Stupar during this past season, and Mauti played a key role in special-teams coverage. He also made eight tackles and forced a fumble on defense.

Mauti had been release at the end of training camp last year in what looked like the end of his comeback from ulcerative colitis. The Mandeville High product and son of former Saints receiver Rich Mauti had surgery during the 2016 season to remove a part of his large intestines.
