Saints add second 2022 first-round draft pick in trade with Eagles

The New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a trade of draft picks that includes three first-rounders this year and one the next.

As a result, the Saints now have a pair of first round choices this month (Nos. 16 and 19 overall), both from the Eagles, while sending Philadelphia their own 2022 first rounder (No. 18).

The Eagles are also sending a 2022 sixth-round pick (No. 194) to the Saints while receiving third-round (101) and seventh-round choices (237) along with the New Orleans 2023 first-round pick and 2024 second-round selection.

The Saints now have more flexibility in the April draft to fill immediate needs with highly rated prospects in areas including offensive tackle, wide receiver and perhaps even quarterback.
