Report: Saints add former All-Pro running back David Johnson to practice squad
The Saints are signing former All-Pro running back David Johnson to its practice squad, reports ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Johnson, who turns 31 next month, has not played this season after spending the previous two years with the Texans. Drafted in the third round by the Cardinals in 2015, the Northern Iowa product spent five productive seasons with Arizona. Johnwas named first-team All-Pro in 2016 when he led the NFL with 2,118 yards from scrimmage.
Arizona traded Johnson to Houston in the 2020 offseason.
Johnson fills a void for New Orleans one day after the team released veteran running backs Jordan Howard and Derrick Gore from the practice squad.
The Saints (3–7) play host to the Rams (3–6) on Sunday at noon.
