Southern Miss is set to hire Tulane offensive Coordinator Will Hall as the school’s next head football coach, first reported Jeff Haeger of WXXV-TV.

The official announcement by USM Athletic Director Jeremy McClain came Wednesday.

Hall has been the offensive coordinator at Tulane for two seasons. The Emory, Miss. native has guided the Green Wave to a more balanced offense while still boasting a strong rushing attack ranking among the nation’s best.

During Hall’s tenure, Tulane has defeated Southern Miss in a bowl game and followed that up by scoring 66 points this season in a win over USM in Hattiesburg.

The 40-year old has previously served as offensive coordinator at Louisiana-Lafayette and head coach at a pair if Division II schools, West Alabama and West Georgia.

Tulane’s finals scheduled game of 2020 is this Saturday versus Memphis in New Orleans.
