The New Orleans Saints will have their training camp out west this summer.

With renovations underway at the team’s facility in Metairie, Jeff Duncan of the Times Picayune reports UC Irvine is the likely host of Saints camp in 2024.

A deal in Irvine has not been finalized but is expected to be announced shortly. It will mark the first training camp for the Saints away from home since it spent 2014-2016 in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia at The Greenbrier Resort. So far, the franchise has used 11 locations for training camps in its history.

UC Irvine has experience hosting an NFL training camp. The Rams have held camp there since 2016 but Duncan’s report makes it clear that streak is facing an end.
