Two new cornerbacks are in the fold for the Saints, cutting defensive tackle Jay Bromley in the process of a roster shakeup.

The team has signed free agent Josh Robinson, reports Pro Football Talk.

The 5-foot-10 Robinson could provide help at the slot cornerback spot Robinson was signed during the offseason to handle.

A 2012 third-round pick by the Vikings out of Central Florida, the 27-year old Robinson played four seasons in Minnesota before spending the past two mostly as a special teams performer for Tampa Bay. The Bucs cut him this year at the end of the preseason.

The Saints also signed former Packers cornerback Demetri Goodson. The 29-year old played in 26 games for Green Bay from 2014-16 but missed all of last season with a knee injury.

Both new signees worked out for the Saints last week when the team started looking for help at the position when Patrick Robinson went down with a broken ankle.

The Saints will need to clear two more spots on their 53-man roster to add Robinson, Goodson and as well as running back Mark Ingram, who returns from a four-game suspension.
