The Carolina Panthers have requested to interview New Orleans Saints cap guru Khai Harley for their general manager opening, first reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

In his 16th Saints season and 23rd in the NFL, Harley was promoted to Saints assistant general manager and vice president of football operations before the past season.

Prior to entering the NFL, Harley was a financial analyst with Bloomberg, L.P. from 1995-2000.

If hired by Carolina, Harley would become the second Saints executive in recent years to leave the organization to become the GM of an NFC South rivals. Terry Fontenot was hired away from the Atlanta Falcons in 2021.
