Recruiting: Texas prep defensive end Landon Jackson commits to LSU

Sunday became another fun day for LSU football.

Defensive end Landon Jackson committed to the Tigers over Texas, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Alabama, Arkansas, Miami, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Washington.

The four-star talent out of Texarkana, Texas is ranked as the nation’s No. 3 weakside defensive end, according to 247Sports. Jackson is the seventh verbal commitment for LSU in the 2021 cycle.

Jackson was part of Pleasant Grove capture the Texas Class 4A D-II state championship last season. The Texas Sports Writers Association voted him as the 4A Defensive Player of the Year.
