Trey Palmer commits to LSU

Kentwood wide receiver Trey Palmer announced his commitment to LSU on Wednesday, according to a report from 247sports.

The 6-foot, 180 pounder tweeted in July that his top five schools under consideration were LSU, Mississippi State, Alabama, Arizona State and Florida.

“My family, they were all happy for me and the decision. My mom had told me wherever I go she would be there for me. She told me to go where my heart is, and that’s LSU. My heart is with LSU,” Palmer told 247sports.

Palmer runs a 4.4 forty and 10.4 hundred meters. On the football field, he gains instant separation from defenders, make difficult catches and excels as a punt returner. He also batted .380 last season for the Kangeroos baseball squad.

With the commitment of Palmer, LSU is already up to 19 commitments for the class of 2019.
