LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Football has accepted an invitation to play Mid-American Conference foe Miami (Ohio) in the 21st Annual LendingTree Bowl, held in Mobile, Ala. on Monday, Jan. 6, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Kickoff for the primetime matchup is slated for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.

The postseason bowl appearance will be the ninth in program history and the second under Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year Billy Napier. Louisiana holds an official record of 4-2 in bowl games.

Louisiana and Miami (Ohio) will be meeting for just third time when they square off in Mobile, with the Redhawks leading the all-time series, 2-0. Louisiana is 7-6 all-time against MAC opposition and 1-0 this year after the Ragin’ Cajuns defeated Ohio, 45-25, on Sept. 21 in Athens.
