Ragin’ Cajuns to face Nicholls, LSU in fall baseball exhibitions

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball team opened its six-week Fall practice period on Monday at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field at Russo Park as it prepares for the upcoming 2024 season.

Louisiana, which finished 41-24 last season and advanced to the NCAA Regionals for the 18th time in school history, returns 18 letterwinners for fifth-year head coach Matt Deggs.

Intrasquad scrimmages will be open to the general public throughout the Fall, beginning on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Louisiana will scrimmage during the week on Tuesday and Friday at 3 p.m., and 11 a.m. on Saturday’s during non-football home games.

Dates and times for later scrimmages will be announced as the Fall practice period continues and will be released on Twitter at @RaginCajunsBSB.

The Ragin’ Cajuns will compete in a pair of exhibition contests beginning on Sunday, Nov. 5 against Nicholls before concluding Fall practice on Sunday, Nov. 12, with an exhibition contest at reigning National Champion LSU at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

The season ticket renewal process for the 2024 Louisiana Baseball season is currently underway.

All 2023 season ticket holders can renew their tickets at the same cost by logging on to their ‘Account Manager’ at RaginCajuns.com/Tickets. Once logged in, their personal renewal information will be available.

Renewal packets are also being mailed to the address listed on the account.

The deadline to renew season tickets is Monday, October 30.

Fans can purchase new season tickets in the Bleacher Back sections with prices beginning at $210.
