ESTERO, Fla. – This fall the Louisiana men’s basketball team heads to Estero, Florida for the Gulf Coast Showcase from November 20-22 in the Hertz Arena. The Cajuns enter the field along with Buffalo, High Point, Hofstra, Illinois State, Iona, Long Beach State, and Wright State.

The Cajuns open the event on Monday, November 20 against Wright State at 4 p.m. CT. The semifinals will begin Tuesday at 4 p.m. CT and the championship game tips off at 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Cajuns come off a Sun Belt Conference tournament championship to punch their ticket to the NCAA tournament last season. They won’t be the only defending conference champion in the field in Florida. Joining them is Iona, winner of the MAAC regular season and tournament championships, and Hofstra, regular season winner of the CAA.

Louisiana competed in the Gulf Coast Showdown back in 2018, falling in the semifinals to the eventual champion Toledo. They would finish the event 2-1 with wins over Colorado State and Tulane.

Fan travel information, including preferred hotel rates at the official tournament resort, and ticket information can be found at the official event website – www.gulfcoastshowcase.com. Tickets go on sale beginning Monday, July 17.
