New Orleans Pelicans Announce “We Win, You Win” Promotion for NBA In-Season Tournament

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans today announced a “We Win, You Win” Sweepstakes for the NBA In-Season Tournament, a new annual competition for all 30 teams that will debut in the 2023-24 regular season.

If New Orleans wins the championship of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, the Pelicans will give away $1 million in sweepstakes prize money to one hundred eligible participants – amounting to $10,000 each.

“The NBA In-Season Tournament is an innovative way to enhance team competition and fan interest with meaningful games during the regular season,” said Pelicans President Dennis Lauscha. “Teams and players are incentivized to win the inaugural NBA Cup, and we wanted to give our fans an opportunity to win, as well. We are excited to announce this ‘We Win, You Win’ promotion and we look forward to seeing our fans at the Smoothie King Center for these great home matchups.”

Fans can enter to win the “We Win, You Win” Sweepstakes by attending one of the Pelicans’ In-Season Tournament home game at the Smoothie King Center. Participants who purchase or legally obtain at least one mobile ticket and attend one game of either the Group Play or the Quarterfinals portion of the NBA In-Season Tournament at the Smoothie King Center will automatically receive a total of 1,000 entries per game attended. If the Pelicans host a Quarterfinals game at the Smoothie King Center, eligible participants who attend all three In-Season Tournament home games will receive an additional 2,000 entries for a maximum total of 5,000 entries. One hundred grand prize winners will be randomly selected from the field of entries.

The “We Win, You Win” Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia (excluding residents of New York, Florida, and Rhode Island) who are 18 years of age or older. Individual tickets for the Pelicans’ In-Season Tournament home games (Tuesday, Nov. 14 vs. Dallas; Friday, Nov. 17 vs. Denver) are now available at https://seatgeek.com/new-orleans-pelicans-tickets. Fans can also call the Pelicans Ticket Office at (504) 525-4667.

The NBA In-Season Tournament consists of two stages: Group Play and the Knockout Rounds.

New Orleans will play Group Play games at Houston (Friday, Nov. 10), vs. Dallas (Tuesday, Nov. 14), vs. Denver (Friday, Nov. 17), and at LA Clippers (Friday, Nov. 24).

Following Group Play, eight teams (four per conference) will advance to the Knockout Rounds, consisting of single-elimination games in the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championship.

The Quarterfinals will be played in NBA team markets on Monday, Dec. 4 and Tuesday, Dec. 5. The Semifinals (Thursday, Dec. 7) and Championship (Saturday, Dec. 9) will be played at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
