Pelicans bring back Didi Louzada while Nets agree to deal with James Johnson

Didi Louzada and the Pelicans agreed on a new four-year contract Tuesday, reported ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 2019 second-round pick played for Sydney Kings in Australia before signing with New Orleans this past April.

The 6-foot-5 Brazilian is a strong developing defender who continues to develop NBA three-point range.

Unlike with the 22-year old, the Pelicans did not have a longer term future with a grizzled NBA veteran.

Free agent forward James Johnson has agreed to sign with the Nets on a one-year deal, according to Wojnarowski.

The 34-year old joined the Pelicans this past season at the trade deadline in the deal that sent guard J.J. Redick to
