Pelicans assign rookie guard Hawkins to G League

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Jordan Hawkins has been assigned to the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

Hawkins, 6-5, 192, who was selected by New Orleans with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of The University of Connecticut, has appeared in 27 games (nine starts) for the Pelicans this season, averaging 10.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 23.9 minutes per contest.
