Nunez Community College’s baseball program will begin its 2019 campaign with a home opening double header against Bishop State (Mobile, AL) on February 5. The 2019 schedule features matches between in state competitors and teams from Mississippi, Missouri and Alabama.

“As a coaching staff we are most looking forward to our incoming freshman mixed with our returning guys. We have new pitchers coming in on our pitching staff that we are excited about and we also brought in some guys that we are hoping can help us at the plate. We are committed to building a winning culture and tradition at Nunez. Also, one of our goals is to have 100% graduation rate.” said Glenn Powell, Head Coach.

Nunez Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), region 23. The Pelicans will once again field its home games at Noel Suarez Stadium located on the campus of Chalmette High School.
