NFL unveils Oakley face shield for helmets to help prevent spread of coronavirus

The NFL has unveiled face shields for helmets to support safety and help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Designed by Oakley, the Mouth Shield visors will be distributed to every NFL team but there is no indication that the device will be required to play.

The NFL noted that over 700 players used visors last season. This prototype was the preferred choice for this time based on input from sources with both the league and players union.
