Miller, defense lead West Monroe past Noxubee Country, 30-9

West Monroe defensive back Brooks Miller credited the defensive line yet he made his own big plays Friday night with a pair interceptions, leading the Rebels to a 30-9 over Noxubee County (Miss.).

“Our defensive line does a great job,” said Miller, who has totaled 11 interceptions in less than two years. “There is so much pressure they ha e to throw it. We had some injuries tonight minor ones and we just have a lot of depth (on defense).”

West Monroe struggled with fumbles and had three on the night that the Tigers recovered yet led 9-3 at halftime on the push of the defense that included a Safety plus a touchdown run of five-yards by quarterback Garrett Kahmann.

Running back Cmaeron Wright rushed or 80 yards and two touchdowns and Fullback Cayden Pierce had his bestngsne of the year with 75 yards and a touchdown for the Rebels.

West Monroe hosts cross-town rival Neville next Friday at 7 p.m.
