McNeese sophomore libero Bailey Tillman named SLC Defensive Player of Week

FRISCO, Texas — McNeese sophomore libero Bailey Tillman has been named this week’s Southland Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

The native of Sugar Land, Texas is coming off a weekend where she recorded 57 digs for an average 4.38 per set in three matches at the Stephen. F. Austin Hampton Inn Invitational. For her efforts, Tillman was named to the all-tournament team.

The highlight of Tillman’s weekend was her career high 32 digs in the Cowgirls’ 3-2 win over Tulsa Friday evening.

Tillman is the first Cowgirl to pick up the weekly honor this season.
