LSU suffers sixth loss in past seven games, 75-66, at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The No. 25 LSU Tigers fell to 16-7 (4-6 SEC) after falling to Vanderbilt, 75-66, Saturday night at Memorial Gymnasium.

Tari Eason led LSU in scoring with 16 points with Eric Gaines close behind with 14 points. Darius Days had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Tigers were down 21 points in the second half (69-48) and managed to claw their way back to within five (69-64), but the late push was not enough.

Vanderbilt was led by Rodney Chatman who had 24 points on 6-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Myles Stute dropped in 17 with five three’s of his own. The Commodores’ shot 13-31 from three (42 percent) compared to LSU’s 3-14 from three (21 percent).

LSU is back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 8th when they head to College Station to take on Texas A&M at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN2.
