LSU jumps ahead early, cruises past Lamar

BATON ROUGE- The LSU Men’s Basketball team took down Lamar, 87-66, in the Tigers’ final game before Christmas on Thursday night inside the PMAC.

Jalen Cook had a team-high 17 points. Carlos Stewart scored 16 for his best effort as a Tiger. Jordan Wright had 15 and Will Baker added 12 points and a team-high 8 rebounds for LSU (7-5).

For Lamar (5-7), Ja’Sean Jackson finished with 14 points. Terry Anderson and Jakevion Buckley added 12 points and Chris Pryor had 10 for the Cardinals.
