Louisiana’s Kobe Julien tabbed Sun Belt Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – For the second time in his career, Louisiana redshirt junior forward Kobe Julien has been named Sun Belt Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Julien averaged 22.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and three steals per game and was named to the Gulf Coast Showcase All-Tournament Team after leading Louisiana to a 2-1 record at the event.

The redshirt junior scored a career-high 30 points on 10-of-18 shooting while also grabbing seven rebounds in a 68-60 win over Buffalo on Nov. 21. Julien also filled the box score with 23 points, four boards, three assists, three steals and a trio of blocks against Wright State.

Julien also received the league’s weekly honor as a redshirt freshman on February 22, 2022.
