Landon Tomkins

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech’s Landon Tomkins was voted as a Prospect League Eastern Conference All-Star as well as the Galen Woods Fireman of the Year, awarded to the league’s top reliever.

Tomkins was dominant this summer for the Danville Dans in Danville, Illinois, appearing in 18 games while registering a 3-1 record with six saves (tied for second most in the league) and a 0.88 ERA.

The Bulldog reliever went 30 2/3 innings, allowing just three earned runs on 21 hits while walking only eight batters and striking out 40.

The Dans finished atop the Wabash River Division in the Eastern Conference with a league-best 40-17 overall record.

The Prospect League is a top summer collegiate wood bat baseball league in the Midwest.

The All-Star teams and specialty awards were voted on by the league’s 16 field managers.
