Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas State to play volleyball series Oct. 16-17

Matches rescheduled due to potential impact of Hurricane Delta, remain at Earl K. Long Gym

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Volleyball’s Sun Belt Conference series against Texas State at Earl K. Long Gym has been rescheduled to Friday-Saturday, Oct. 16-17 due to the potential impact of Hurricane Delta on the area.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (11-0, 5-0 Sun Belt) and Bobcats (8-1, 3-0 Sun Belt) will play a doubleheader on Friday, Oct. 16 with matches at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The three-match series concludes Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.

All contests in the three-match series can be viewed live on ESPN+.

As previously announced, due to facility capacity constraints Louisiana Volleyball’s attendance policy for 2020 is that home matches are not be open to the general public. Teams will operate pass lists for admittance into Earl K. Long Gym, as spacing and safety protocols will allow.

Friday, Oct. 16 (11 a.m.) – ESPN+
Friday, Oct. 16 (6 p.m.) – ESPN+
Saturday, Oct. 17 (1 p.m.) – ESPN+

Louisiana will enter the series off to the second-best start in program history, trailing only the only the record 13 consecutive wins posted by the 1990 squad for the overall best start.
