The Louisiana High School Athletic Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Fallon Buckner as assistant executive director.

Fallon is a student-athlete graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.

Fallon completed her Master of Arts in Mass Communication at Southern University A&M. She also fulfilled her Master of Education in Teacher Leadership certificate at Lamar University.

Most recently, she was the head girls’ basketball program director at Lutcher High School. Fallon also coached the varsity soccer team and assisted as a track coach. She served as an English, special education, and physical education teacher.
Fallon has an extensive media background; as she produced, edited, and reported for KLFY-TV in Lafayette and KDAF-TV/CW 33 in Dallas.

The LHSAA selection committee cited Fallon’s qualifications as a faculty-coach, technology skills, knowledge of sports, and dedication to kids as the basis of their decision.

Executive director Mr. Eddie Bonine states Fallon’s energy and multi-facetted skillset will be a welcomed addition to the LHSAA staff, adding that she’s “in the business for the right reasons.”
