MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Louisiana Tech women’s basketball team fell to Middle Tennessee 79-58 in the final game of the regular season on Saturday morning inside the Murphy Center.

LA Tech (13-18, 7-9) got off to a slow start, making just one shot and five turnovers, but was only down 7-4 halfway through the first quarter. Middle Tenn (26-4, 16-0) started to find their rhythm and closed the quarter on a 13-4 run.

The Lady Raiders extended the run to 19-5 early in the second before the Lady Techsters started to chip away. Every time Tech would get back-to-back baskets, MTSU would score one of their own, but Tech was able to cut the lead to eight heading into the locker room.
