RUSTON – Louisiana Tech wide receiver Tre Harris has been added to the watch list for the 2022 Biletnikoff Award, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., announced Wednesday.

The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football’s outstanding receiver, not merely college football’s outstanding wide receiver.

Harris has been one of the nation’s best receivers this season. His nine receiving touchdowns rank fourth nationally, while his 803 receiving yards rank 16th among all FBS players.

The Lafayette, La., product currently leads Tech with 49 receptions and is averaging 16.39 yards per catch. He ranks fourth nationally in scrimmage plays over 40 yards (6) and fifth in scrimmage plays over 30 yards (9).

The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipients are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 610 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.

Receivers are frequently added to the watch list as their season performances dictate. Actual, not potential, performance is the basis for inclusion on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.

Harris is the first Bulldog to be selected to the list since Adrian Hardy in 2019.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday (Nov. 12) when they visit UTSA for a 2:30 p.m. conference tilt.

Single-game tickets for the 2022 Louisiana Tech football season are on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets online at LATechSports.com/tickets or by calling the LA Tech Ticket Office at (318) 257-3631.
