RUSTON, La. – Former first-round pick Vernon Butler posted one of his best performances of the season for the Buffalo Bills in Monday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, tallying four total tackles and making one tackle for a loss.

Butler’s tackle for a loss came in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s contest, dropping Chiefs’ rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire four yards behind the line of scrimmage. The former Bulldog has logged three straight games with more than 30 snaps played.

The Buffalo defensive tackle has recorded 11 total tackles, a tackle for a loss, a hit on the quarterback and a fumble recovery through five games this season.

See how other former Bulldogs are contributing to their professional squads below. All stats are updated through Oct. 19.

Jaylon Ferguson, LB, Baltimore Ravens

Ferguson recorded two total tackles – one solo and one assisted – in Baltimore’s 30-28 win on the road against the Eagles. The second-year pro tallied his third straight game with a tackle for a loss in Sunday’s win, stuffing fellow Pro ‘Dog Boston Scott at the 3-yard line on a goal-to-go situation. The Ravens’ linebacker tallied a season-high 30 snaps on Sunday, playing 42% of defensive snaps for Baltimore in their third straight victory.

Boston Scott, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Scott logged two carries for four yards and caught two passes for five yards in Sunday’s loss to the Ravens. The third-year pro also returned two kicks for 43 yards. Scott has amassed 282 total yards this season – 167 on kickoff returns, 67 on the ground and 48 from catching the ball out of the backfield. With the injury to Eagles’ starting running back Miles Sanders, Scott is in line to be Philadelphia’s starting back on Thursday Night Football against the Giants.

Xavier Woods, S, Dallas Cowboys

Woods once again played 100% of defensive snaps in Dallas’ 38-10 loss at home to the Arizona Cardinals. Woods tallied three solo tackles in Monday’s defeat, lifting his season total to 24 solo stops. The former Bulldog ranks third on the Cowboys’ roster with 35 total tackles this season, trailing just Jaylon Smith and Joe Thomas.

L’Jarius Sneed, CB, Kansas City Chiefs

Sneed was placed on the injured reserve after suffering a collarbone injury in Kansas City’s win over Baltimore on Sept. 28. Sneed will be eligible to return to the field this season when his collarbone heals. The former ‘Dog’s two interceptions still rank tied for fifth in the NFL despite missing the past three games. The Chiefs knocked off the Bills in Buffalo on Monday, moving to 5-1 on the season.

Amik Robertson, CB, Las Vegas Raiders

Robertson was on bye this past weekend. The Raiders are 3-2 this season and will face Tampa Bay at home on Sunday. The rookie made his NFL debut on Oct. 4 against the Bills.

Jeff Driskel, QB, Denver Broncos

With starting quarterback Drew Lock returning to Denver’s lineup, Driskel will now serve in a backup role for the Broncos. The former Bulldog has completed 35-of-64 passes for 432 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions so far this season. He’s also carried the ball six times for 28 yards on the ground in three appearances and one start so far this season.

Trent Taylor, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Taylor received two targets and caught one pass for eight yards in a 24-16 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. The San Francisco wide receiver also logged a season-high seven snaps on special teams. The former ‘Dog has earned 12 targets through his first six games this season, making six catches for 45 yards.

Justin Ellis, DT, Baltimore Ravens

Ellis played a season-high 33 defensive snaps in Sunday’s win over the Eagles. The veteran defensive tackle tallied one solo stop on Sunday, bringing his season total to two total tackles this year.

Jordan Mills, OT, Dallas Cowboys

Mills joined the Dallas practice squad on Sept. 29. The former LA Tech offensive lineman played for the Cowboys in 2015 and has spent time with the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals during his seven-year NFL career. Mills has played in 90 NFL games, starting 48 straight games for the Bills from 2016-18.

Kentrell Brice, S, Arizona Cardinals

Brice was placed on the injured list after suffering a leg injury in late August. On Sept. 15, he rejoined the team’s practice squad after the Cardinals placed him on waivers on Sept. 6.
