Kansas City Chiefs safety L'Jarius Sneed

RUSTON, La. – After recording interceptions in his first two career games, rookie standout L’Jarius Sneed returned from a collarbone injury suffered on Sept. 28 to record three total tackles in Kansas City’s 35-31 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Night Football.

Sneed recorded tackles on back-to-back plays in the third quarter, bringing down Las Vegas’ Nelson Agholor and Josh Jacobs on consecutive plays. The 2020 fourth-round pick also brought down fellow rookie Henry Ruggs in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s victory.

Despite only playing in four games this season, Sneed is tied for 20th in the NFL with two picks this season. The former Bulldog picked off Houston’s Deshaun Watson and the Chargers’ Justin Herbert in the first two weeks of the season.

Sneed was eased back into action in Sunday’s victory, playing just 15 total snaps in his first game since September.

See how other former Bulldogs are contributing to their professional squads below. All stats are updated through Nov. 23.

Boston Scott, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Scott rushed five times for 24 yards and hauled in all three of his targets for 26 yards in Sunday’s 22-17 loss in Cleveland. The third-year pro has now amassed 50 or more total yards from scrimmage in four straight games, gaining 70 or more yards in three consecutive contests before Sunday’s game against the Browns. The former Bulldog played 27 snaps on offense and five snaps on defense, surpassing 30 total snaps in a game for the fifth time in 2020. The 25-year-old running back has racked up 637 yards this season – 270 on the ground, 227 on kickoff returns and 140 from catching the ball out of the backfield.

Justin Ellis, DT, Baltimore Ravens

Ellis recorded season highs in solo tackles (three) and defensive snaps (58) in Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans. The former Bulldog’s 58 defensive snaps also set a new career high in his seven-year career. The veteran defensive tackle’s role expanded in Week 11 due to injuries on Baltimore’s defense and Tennessee’s run-heavy offense. All three of Ellis’ tackles came against star running back Derrick Henry, holding the bell cow back to minimal gains of fewer than five yards each.

Xavier Woods, S, Dallas Cowboys

Woods and the Cowboys notched their first victory since Oct. 11 with a 31-28 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis. The former Bulldog recorded one solo stop in Sunday’s win, bringing down Vikings’ tight end Kyle Rudolph in the open field. Woods also recorded his first hit on the quarterback this season while again playing 100% of defensive snaps. The Cowboys’ safety ranks third on the team in total tackles (47) and solo stops (31) this season.

Jaylon Ferguson, LB, Baltimore Ravens

Ferguson recorded one solo tackle in Baltimore’s 30-24 loss in overtime to the Tennessee Titans. Ferguson’s one tackle in Sunday’s defeat marks his lowest tally since Baltimore’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 28. The former Bulldog played 24 total snaps – 19 on defense and five on special teams. He has recorded two sacks, six tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery through 10 games this season.

Vernon Butler, DT, Buffalo Bills

Butler and the Buffalo Bills enjoyed their bye this past weekend. The Bills sit alone atop the AFC East, seeing fellow divisional foes Miami, New England and New York all lose on Sunday. The former first-round pick has registered 13 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and a hit on the quarterback in eight games played this season.

Trent Taylor, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Taylor and the 49ers were on bye this past weekend. Taylor recorded a season-best 29-yard reception on Nov. 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. The former Bulldog has caught 10 passes for 86 yards so far this season.

Amik Robertson, CB, Las Vegas Raiders

Robertson returned to the field on Sunday Night Football against the Chiefs, playing two snaps against the defending Super Bowl Champions. The Raiders dropped the contest 35-31 at home as Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw the game-winning score to Travis Kelce with 28 seconds remaining. The former Bulldog has four total tackles as a rookie. He made his NFL debut on Oct. 4 against the Bills.

Ryan Allen, P, Tennessee Titans

Allen was signed to Tennessee’s practice squad on Thursday after the Titans released the veteran punter just two days beforehand. The three-time Super Bowl champion averaged over 50 yards per punt in Tennessee’s win over the Chicago bears on Nov. 8.

Tramon Williams, CB, Baltimore Ravens

Williams played nine snaps on special teams and recorded no tackles in Baltimore’s overtime loss to the Titans. The Ravens signed Williams on Nov. 10 to help with the team’s depleted depth in the secondary. Williams, a 2006 undrafted free agent, had played in 13 NFL seasons before the Ravens signed him. The former Bulldog has 34 career interceptions, playing 10 total seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Williams has also recorded stints with the Cleveland Browns and the Arizona Cardinals.

Jeff Driskel, QB, Denver Broncos

Driskel did not see game action in Sunday’s 20-13 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The former Bulldog has completed 35-of-64 passes for 432 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions so far this season. He’s also carried the ball six times for 28 yards on the ground in three appearances and one start so far this season.

Jordan Mills, OT, Dallas Cowboys

Mills joined the Dallas practice squad on Sept. 29. The former LA Tech offensive lineman played for the Cowboys in 2015 and has spent time with the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals during his seven-year NFL career. Mills has played in 90 NFL games, starting 48 straight games for the Bills from 2016-18.
