Jets release former Saints punter Thomas Morstead

The New York Jets have released Thomas Morstead.

Morstead, who signed prior the second week of the regular season, was the punter for the Saints from 2009 to 2020.

Jets starting punter Braden Mann suffered a knee injury in the season opener against Carolina. It appear he is set to return.
