Injury Report: Winston questionable but Dalton named Saints starting QB for Bengals game

Andy Dalton will make his third straight start at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, the team announced Friday.

When he faces his former team on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome, Dalton will be looking for his third win in as many seasons against the Bengals. He played his first nine NFL seasons with Cincinnati but the TCU product won in starts against them with the Bears in 2020 and the Cowboys last year.

Jameis Winston was limited all week in practice but will not start despite the questionable designation he received on the Friday injury report.

Five New Orleans players were declared out for Sunday including wideouts Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landy along with top cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

Chris Olave is also considered questionable this week but the rookie wideout practice in full Friday so he appears set to play this weekend as he has cleared all hurdles in the NFL concussion protocol.

No players for Cincinnati were ruled out but three key players on offense are questionable including wide receive Tee Higgins.

The Saints and Bengals kick off noon CT on Sunday.
