Tulane beats McNeese MBB

NEW ORLEANS – A 25-point night from Collin Holloway helped push Tulane past McNeese State, 75-58, on Friday night in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.

Holloway tied his career high of 25-points in the win. Kevin Cross nabbed 21 points and seven rebounds, while Jaylen Forbes scored 11 with six rebounds.

Tulane got off to a slow start with McNeese leading early in the first half. Tying it up at 13 a piece thanks to a layup by Cross, the Green Wave was able to get into a rhythm. Holloway dropped 14 in the first half which helped Tulane hold a 33-26 lead heading into the locker room.

Sion James would drain a three and pick the Cowboys pocket for a wide-open dunk to open the scoring in the second half and put Tulane up by 10 at 36-26. Back-to-back three-point jumpers by Jaylen Forbes would extend Tulane’s lead to 21 midway through the second.

Not letting off the gas, Tulane would get ahead by as much as 24 on a Tylan Pope dunk with just 2:45 left in the game before subbing in the rest of the bench. The Green Wave would go on to take the game 75-58.
